Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has notified the establishment of Amendments to eight Indian Standards on July 21, 2026. The amendments have been established with effect from 20 July 2026, and the respective standards without the amendments will remain in force up to 19 January 2027.

The notified amendments cover the following Indian Standards:

• IS 1281:2025 – Bicycles – Cranks and Chain Wheels (Amendment No. 1)

• IS 3196 (Part 1):2013 – Welded Low Carbon Steel Cylinders for LPG (Amendment No. 5)

• IS 14407:2023 – Aluminium Cans for Beverages (Amendment No. 1)

• IS 15841:2009 / ISO 11634:1996 – Snowboard Boots – Interface with Ski-Binding (Amendment No. 1)

• IS 16722:2018 – RFID System for Automotive Applications (Amendment No. 2)

• IS 17891 (Part 3):2023 / ISO 3601-3:2005 – Fluid Power Systems – O-rings – Quality Acceptance Criteria (Amendment No. 1)

• IS 18427:2024 – Three Piece Round Open Top Metal Cans for Foods and Beverages (Amendment No. 1)

• IS 18800:2023 – Stainless Steel Feeding Bottle for Infants (Amendment No. 1)
